When Himali English Boarding School opened its doors in 2049 B.S., Janakpurdham had few places where a child could learn in English and still grow up rooted in the values of Mithila. Himali was the answer — and a generation later, it remains a place where discipline is kind, ambition is encouraged, and every child is known by name.

A word from our Principal
Dear parents and guardians, when we opened our doors in 2049 B.S., Janakpurdham had few schools where a child could learn in English and still grow up rooted in the values of Mithila. Himali was our answer — and a generation later, it remains a place where discipline is kind, ambition is encouraged, and every child is known by name.
Our teachers do not simply prepare students for the SEE or the +2 examinations; they prepare them for life — to think clearly, to speak with confidence, and to serve their community with humility. Play-based foundations in a warm, caring wing of the campus — rhymes, stories, numbers and gentle routines that make children love school from the very first day.
Primary
Grades 1 – 5
Strong roots in English, Nepali, mathematics and science, with handwriting, moral education and weekly library periods woven into the timetable.
Lower Secondary
Grades 6 – 8
Widening horizons: laboratory science, computer studies, social studies and a second language, alongside clubs, house competitions and sports.
Secondary
Grades 9 – 10
Focused, disciplined preparation for the Secondary Education Examination with regular testing, remedial classes and individual mentoring.
